The Jammu and Kashmir Right to Information Act, 2009 which has come into effect from the 20th of March 2009 provides for dissemination of information to the resident of the State in the laid manner within the stipulated time so as to deliver speedy justice to them and the information is required to be provided to familiarise the public in general about the mode and manner of the implementation of various Programmes /Schemes in most transparent manner, facilitating to plug up the short comings in the system and check pilferage and malpractices.
